Yet unlike most rinky-dink small-scalers they're sturdy, durable and custom-built to fit the rider--from 4'6" to 7'1". Touring models use 406 mm wheels; racing and performance bikes have 451's. The quick-folding, 24-gear New World Tourist ($995) comes in a rolling suitcase.
