From the Lincoln Film Society webpage:

Director Greg Fredette, Producer Jason Turner, executive director of the Bicycle Transportation Alliance Scott Bricker, executive director of Time's Up! Bill DiPaola, founding director of the Bicycle Film Festival Brendt Barbur and Bike Friday Customer Evangelist Lynette Chiang (aka Galfromdownunder) will host a panel discussion and answer questions after the screening. A reception sponsored by Bike Friday dealer Bfold, the folding bike specialist, and 42 Below will follow the event.

Narrated by Matthew Modine, Greg Fredette’s Veer is an inside look at bike culture follows five lives invested in and growing alongside a booming social movement: a designer of extreme “freakbikes,” a bicycle rights lobbyist, a bike safety instructor, a member of an all-woman mini-bike dance team, and a world traveler bringing his profound cultural experiences astride a bike home. These remarkably different personalities intersect to inspire a level of change and community growth they never anticipated.

Sep. 12 - Sep. 12

A tour of this famous cycling route organized by BF customers Steve and Jan Conley, on a relaxed, pay-as-you-go basis:

We are planning on doing the trail from west to east between Sept 20-27. Steve and Jan Conley
NWT Steve Conley Desert Camp 09

BF customers Steve and Jan Conley invite you to join them on this relaxed, flat, pay-as-you-go trip along the Katy Trail:

The trip will cover 225 miles (Clinton, MO - St. Charles, MO), mostly along the Missouri River.  Each day will have plenty of time for sightseeing and experiencing the local fare with daily mileages ranging from as little as 10 miles to as much as 38 miles.  This will be an unsupported trip so we will be towing our Bike Friday trailers.  We will be flying into Kansas City on September 18 and  taking a shuttle from the airport to Clinton, MO, the western most end of the Katy trail.  We will stay in Clinton on the 18th at the Hampton Inn.
Day 1 will be 35 miles from Clinton to Sedalia, staying at the Hotel Bothwell (http://www.hotelbothwell.com) .
Day 2 will be 37 miles to Boonville, staying at the Rivercene Mansion B&B (http://www.rivercene.com).
Day 3 will be 14 miles to Rocheport, staying at the Katy Trail Bed & Bikefest (http://www.katytrailbb.com).
Day 4 will be 25 miles to Hartsburg, staying at the Globe Hotel Bed & Breakfast (can't find a web site for them).
Day 5 will be 11 miles to Jefferson, staying at Cliff Manor (http://www.cliffmanor.com/).
Day 6 will be 38 miles to Rhineland, staying at the Doll House (http://www.thedollhousebandb.com).
Day 7 will be 31 miles to Dutzow, staying at Cinargo Farms B&B (http://www.cinagrofarms.com).
The last day will be 34 miles to St. Charles, staying at the Fairfield Inn in St. Charles.
From St. Charles, it's a short taxi ride to St. Louis International for the flight back home.
For those coming from the West, Southwest Airlines doesn't charge any extra for Bike Fridays or the privilege of selecting a different departure/return airport.
Lodging costs varied substantially but rooms were available in each town from as little as $60 to as much as $200 for the super duper deluxe rooms.

It's on again, the sell-out Bike Friday 'inn-to-inn' tour, with *TWO* nights in artsy Bisbee at the fabulous Copper Queen Hotel! Led by Race Across America legends Lon Haldeman and Susan Notorangelo at a relaxed, 'stop-and-smell-the-enchiladas' pace.

*** NEW FOR 2010 *** Day 7 Tombstone to Benson:  Lunch at the Kartchner Caverns includes 35 tickets for riders that wish to tour a cavern room.

From the description of Arizona Desert Camp Week 3, at www.pactour.com:

Arrive in Tucson and saddle up for a tour filled with sizzlin' southwest history every day! The first day we'll ride 49 miles to the Old Sonoita Inn. This inn was built in the style of a horse barn to honor the famous race horse Secretariqt. Riders wanting to add 24 miles today can ride to the old Stagecoach Hotel in Patagonia and back for an afternoon ice cream treat. The following morning we'll head out on an easy 55 miles through the wine country of Elgin before spending an evening walking the wooden sidewalks of historic Tombstone.

On day three, we'll ride 47 miles to the hillside mining town of Bisbee. We will divide the lodging of our group between the Copper Queen and Hotel and Hotel La More. The first 25 paid entrants will stay at the Copper Queen Hotel. There's an optional side trip into Mexico to stop and smell the enchiladas.

The fourth day of riding is an optional 56 mile round trip ride into Douglas, Arizona to have lunch at the Gadsden Hotel. Then return to Bisbee for great shopping and things to see in the revitalized old town area. The final two days of this tour will follow the old stagecoach routes back through Tombstone and Benson before returning to Tucson.

This tour is for riders who are looking for a fun cycling holiday with less focus on training and fitness. It's the easiest tour of the PAC Tour Desert Camp format. You'll enjoy this tour more if you can average 10 mph to have more time to explore the old southwest along the way. If you want to train for racing and average faster than 15 mph you should not attend this week. Please consider joining a longer mileage week of Desert Camp.
